  • Please create a GitHub account before the skill-up.

This lesson teaches Carpentries instructors how to make contributions to Carpentries lessons in GitHub. It does not require participants know how to use git or GitHub prior to the skill-up session.

  2. Look up info in the Workbench docs
  3. Edit a file in GitHub and commit it
  4. Create a Pull Request
  5. Edit a Pull Request
  6. Navigate the PR review structure

Setup

Prior to the skill-up, you need to..

  • Have a web browser installed. This can be whatever web browser you typically use: Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari, or others. This skill-up should work the same on any browser. If it doesn’t please, we would really appreciate you [filing an issue][issue] to let us know.
